How Long Does the Mini Dental Implant Process Take?
In this video, Raymond G. Hatland, DDS, explains what affects the timeline for getting an implant-supported crown and why mini implants can shorten the process.
Many patients want to know how long it takes to get an implant-supported crown. With traditional implants, the process can take four to six months. With mini implants, it’s typically only three to six weeks, depending on the individual case. Mini implants are nonsurgical, meaning we don’t expose or reshape the bone in most situations. In about 99% of cases, the implant is placed directly with minimal trauma, and it begins with roughly 50% integration from the start. The result is faster healing and far less disruption to the body.
